Because Image is Everything...

Welcome back...

Over the years I have accumulated a vast array of technical skills and experiences, on locations and in the studio, …studied photography and art, attended workshops and courses, all of which I treasure deeply. But to make a photograph worth taking, and even more, worth displaying, it has to mean something to someone.

My philosophy meets your vision…

I believe that when we are being truly honest about who we are is when we are at our most vulnerable. And it is when we are at our most vulnerable that we have the greatest capacity to shed illusion. This is not to say illusion is a bad thing. Quite often photography is about creating illusion. And that is a fine endeavour too, for how else can we reach for a higher perception of ourselves without first envisioning it?

Photography is also sometimes just simply about capturing life, as it is, in that time and space. Perhaps there is a side of you that remains undiscovered or that you feel will not last forever, and that is when you look to draw it out and capture it. Or perhaps you have a fast growing family, and should not wait any longer to capture the energy, vigor, innocence and playfulness before it passes.

As long as the photos we create together capture something meaningful for you, my job is done.
